Welcome!

A little about Miss Wolfe:

I write across a few deliciously dark genres, including horror, thrillers, and dark paranormal romance. No matter the genre, I’m always drawn to twisty plots, complicated characters, and the kind of secrets that change everything.

When I’m not writing, I’m at home with Scooby, my tortoise and resident drama queen. He’s almost 14, and I’ve had him since January 2025. Scooby has a deformed beak that won’t stay short on its own, so we make regular vet visits for trims, which I like to call his “beauty treatments”. He’s stubborn, hilarious, and completely convinced he runs the place.

I’m also a proud mum and grandma, but I keep my family life private. Scooby, however, has no interest in privacy and would happily be in every update.

What got me into reading was William Golding’s Lord of the Flies and Stephen King’s Carrie. Neither was remotely suitable for an 11/12 year old, but I suppose I’ve always had a bit of a wild streak, and it’s probably why I love writing dark stories.

Complex Characters

Intricate personalities, emotional turmoil, and dark secrets.
When I stopped writing under my own name, I tried to separate my genres by using Miss D and Miss T Wolfe, but it didn’t quite fit. These days, it’s all under Miss Wolfe.

Write what you know?

I don't know any serial killers (wink wink). But I know the history of Moray.

Thunderton House traces its origins back to the 14th century. Once known as the “King’s House” or “Great Lodging,” it served as a residence for Scottish royalty and held an important place within the town’s history.

Its most notable connection is to Bonnie Prince Charlie, who stayed at the house in 1746 during the Jacobite rising, shortly before the decisive Battle of Culloden.

Thunderton House is such an important part of Elgins history I had to feature it in some of my books.

Reviews

This short, gory tale of vengeance was right up my alley, but be warned if you don't have a strong stomach ... In this story, Joanna Hokky is an ex-police officer and CSA survivor who discovers old-fashioned justice does not offer satisfying enough results for her. Determined to make p*edophiles pay, she starts kidnapping them and torturing them, ostensibly to discover where their victims are, though even when they reveal all she shows them no mercy. This a well-written tale that's atmospheric and leads to a killer twist at the end that's characterful and compelling. Definitely worth a read!

 Not for the fainthearted!!

A Killer’s Canvas is a dark, gripping introduction to Anita Parish. By day, she is a compassionate hospice nurse offering dignity and comfort to those at life’s end. But beneath that gentle exterior lies a fierce, unyielding protector shaped by trauma and a world that too often fails the vulnerable.

The author balances tenderness with tension. Anita’s devotion to her patients is genuine, yet the same empathy fuels a ruthless sense of justice she believes she needs to deliver. The author never glorifies her choices; instead, we’re invited into the quiet storm of her conscience—her grief, her rage, and the fragile logic she uses to justify the line she crosses.

The story unfolds with steady, unsettling suspense, painting a portrait of a woman who is both healer and hunter. As Anita’s past begins to surface, the stakes rise, and the question becomes not just what she will do next, but how long she can carry the weight of her own darkness.

A tense, thought-provoking thriller that lingers long after the final page, A Killer’s Canvas sets the stage for a series that explores justice, trauma, and the dangerous edges of compassion.

Compassion and Justice with a developing Romantic relationship

Winters day is incredible, it really is. The synopsis itself caught my eye immediately. It has it all, the drama, the romance, the heartbreak, fear, suspense, the strong heartbeat you get when you feel that connection with Jolie the main character. However, the reason I gave it a 4 star review is that the ending is too abrupt and the beginning of the story is just dragged on and out of focus. Because of the blurb and the author’s writing skills (wow she knows how to write), I knew there was a good story in there and there is, but it took a long time to get there. I can tell you that once I got there it was intense. Actually, intense is a soft word. Whoever has experienced what Jolie experiences and what her friends and family experience trying to protect her, will feel their stomach turning. It's a story of extreme inner power, of pain and of hope. I recommend the author to make some changes to the beginning because this is absolutely a good book that touches important issues and should be read by anyone who’s ever been in a relationship and every young woman who plans to be in a relationship.
